Wondering what’s on in Windsor in August? From lively race nights to kids’ theatre & local festivals, here’s what to see and do this month!

August is one of the best times to be in Windsor. With long sunny days, plenty of outdoor events, and a buzzing summer atmosphere, it’s no wonder this month is packed with things to do. Whether you’re a local looking to make the most of the season or a visitor planning a summer escape, there’s loads happening in Windsor this August.

From live music and festivals to fun family days out, there’s something for everyone. Highlights include the ABBA Party Racenight at Windsor Racecourse on 4 August (yes, there will be dancing queens!), and Summertime Live on 16 August – a massive dance music festival that transforms Windsor into one big party. If you’ve got kids, don’t miss The Enormous Crocodile at Theatre Royal Windsor or the Kids Festival Weekend later in the month.

For something more active, the Windsor & Eton 10km on 17 August is a fun run starting at the local brewery – not a bad incentive to cross the finish line!

Chloe and I are always out exploring what’s going on, so we’ll keep this page updated with the latest events. Scroll down to discover everything happening in Windsor this August!
