What’s On in Windsor in January

by Macca

What’s on in Windsor in January? Explore the latest events, entertainment and things to do in Windsor throughout the month.

I know, I know. It’s January and you just want to hibernate until the days get longer and hotter again. Trust me, I know how you feel. Even though January is often seen as a quieter month, I’ve found it’s actually one of the best times to slow down, explore locally and discover what’s happening right on our doorstep. After the buzz of Christmas and New Year, the town settles into a gentler rhythm – one without all the tourists.

One thing you can guarantee in January is lots of good pub nights. Even if you’re doing Dry January, you can still pop down to your local and support them. As usual you’ll find lots of great quizzes to keep you occupied. Also, Theatre Royal has loads of shows to choose from. Plus, we have Burns Night this month if you’re looking for a bit of Scottish flavour.

We’re still big on eating out in January

I love Windsor in January for trying something new. Maybe that’s finally catching a show you’ve been meaning to see, joining a local club, or simply getting out of the house for an evening that isn’t centred around the TV. With the Dachet Dashers and the Supersonic Run Club, there are some really good running clubs out there if you’re doing the whole “new year, new me” thing.

As I mentioned, it really is a brilliant time to support independent venues and cafes across the town. All these local businesses still need to stay open in January, so support them by visiting them.

If you’re wondering what’s on this month, I’ve rounded up the best events, activities and happenings to help you start the year on a high and make the most of everything this beautiful town has to offer.
